Ten-time European Tour winner Alex Noren has confirmed his participation alongside his Ryder Cup winning team mate Henrik Stenson at the Scandinavian Invitation from August 22-25.

Noren, a two-time winner of his national open in 2011 and 2015, made his Ryder Cup debut at Le Golf National in Paris last September and tickets to see the stars in action at Hills Golf & Sports Club in Gothenburg are on sale now here.

The 37-year-old went on to win his Sunday Singles match in stunning fashion against American Bryson DeChambeau when he holed a monster putt on the famous 18th green to take the victory 1up as Team Europe defeated the United States 17½ -10½ .

“It’s always nice to come home and play in front of the Swedish fans,” said Noren. “Gothenburg is a great city and the Scandinavian Invitation always has an amazing atmosphere.

“I have so many wonderful memories from this event, obviously winning in 2011 and 2015 was very special for me and my family, so I would love to add another national open to my name this year.”

Fredrik Lindgren, International Development – Nordics for the European Tour, said: “We are delighted to have Alex Noren, a two-time winner of this event and Ryder Cup star, alongside Major champion Henrik Stenson returning to Sweden for the Scandinavian Invitation.

“Alex and Henrik have been incredible supporters of golf in Sweden over the years and we cannot wait to see them tee it up in Gothenburg in just a few weeks’ time.”
